2008 -- officially the hottest June ever.
Welcome to our humble home brand new Air Conditioning Coil, may you far better than your predecessor.

Is Titus Pullo really going to be The Punisher?
Are there really more plastic flamingos that real ones in the United States?

A Pompano Beach man turned himself in to police Friday and was charged with DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and DUI property damage for a car crash last year that took the life of a 7-year-old boy.

James Suppe, 47, faces charges of driving drunk in the Aug. 15, 2007 accident. Broward Sheriff's deputies said Suppe was eastbound on Atlantic Boulevard in a white Ford Explorer when he broadsided a tan Toyota 4Runner as it turned left onto Southeast Sixth Avenue from the westbound lanes.

The 4Runner's driver, Gerald Burke, 48, Pompano Beach, wasn't injured, but his son, Finn, was taken to Broward General Medical Center. He died the next day.

After deputies completed their investigation, the State Attorney's Office issued a warrant for his arrest.

My nephew has his own flickr page now -- as you can see he's both artistic and insightful:

More things that can be learned on Jeopardy

Mickey Spillane wrote "characters such as The Human Torch, Sub-Mariner, Captain America, Blue Bolt, Batman, Captain Marvel and Plastic Man".

Plastic man? Human torch? really? That is so bizarre, very non-Mike Hammer types. How did Graypumpkin not know about this?

At the culmination of two weeks of College Championship playoffs, Jeopardy cut away from the final Final Jeopardy question to commercials, then returned with footage from a completely different Final Jeopardy round. From a previously un-aired episode. Shocking. Though I did find the results on-line, I don't see anything about the glitch, so maybe it was the local affiliates error? It did lead me to this, however, so all's well that ends well:

The world is a sadder, emptier place with the tragic death of my nephew Finn, a sweet, clever, funny little boy I will miss dearly.
